  • How do I know which counselor is my counselor?
Students are assigned to counselors by last name:

    • Ms. Kurtz: A - He
    • Ms. Rambow: Hi - Q
    • Mr. Kramer: R - Z

How do I make an appointment to see my counselor?
Counselors will see students throughout the school day.  Ycan stop by the Guidance Office before/after school or during your lunch to schedule an appointment with Traci, the Guidance Secretary.

    Can I change my schedule?
Students are encouraged to plan their programs carefully.  Schedule changes after the initial registration may be made only for the following reasons -

    • The student has failed a course, which would affect the schedule sequence.
    • The student needs a course to meet graduation requirements.
    • The student had placement/scheduling errors.

Students may drop a course during the first few days of the term if space is available in an alternative course.  Students may have to remain in a class for the duration of the trimester if no alternatives are available.  Parent/guardian approval is required for some schedule changes.

Am I on track to graduate?
Counselors will visit advisories every year to update students on their graduation progress and hand out transcripts.  If you do now know your status, please make an appointment immediately to see your counselor!

How do I request an official transcript?
If you are a current student, you can fill out a request for an official transcript in the Guidance Office.

If you are a former student at HPSH and need a copy of your official transcript, please print off the form at the link below, complete and return to the Highland Park Senior High Guidance Secretary.  Make checks payable to Highland Park Senior High - send $7.00 per transcript (along with transcript request) to:
