International Baccalaureate (IB) Biology Standard Level (SL) covers material ranging from Biochemistry to Ecology.  There are six core topics in all, with an additional set of "Options" that round out the curriculum.  You will be encouraged to take the SL exam in May after completing the course, but are not required to do so, to be in the class.  Download a copy of the syllabus and lab rubric for your personal use.

The next step is to sign up for IB Biology Higher Level (HL) your senior year.  Most of the material will be familiar territory for you.  The exception is that it has more depth, both in the core material and in the options.

Need Help from the Web?  Here is an excellent resource to help you to understand the Topic Outlines.  Go to the link "Click4Biology".  It may take a moment for it to be rerouted to its new website.
