Hello!  My name is Barbara Kurtz, and I am very happy to be a counselor here at Highland Senior High supporting students in the Liberal Arts Learning Community.  I have worked for twenty years with students in the St. Paul School District as a teacher of Family and Conusmer Sciences, coach, class advisor, elementary counselor, summer school and ALC teacher.  I graduated from St. Olaf College, and the University of St. Thomas, then completed my school counseling licensure at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.  Previous to becoming a counselor at HPSH, I had the opportunity to work here as a student intern.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, being outdoors and family activities.
