Hello!  I work with students last names Hi - Q.  I started working at HPSH in 2005 as a counselor after teaching English for several years at Central High School.  On any given day you might find me working with students individually on academic or personal/social issues, presenting curriculum in a classroom, visiting with students during their advisory, helping students complete college applications/letters of recommendation, or any of a million other things. 

In addtion to my normal counseling duties here at Highland, I also coordinate registration/scheduling, am the counseling contact for AVID, serve as the secretary for the St. Paul School Counselor Association, and coordinate the publication of Guidance Notes - our monthly newsletter. 

I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota (BA in English, MEd. in Language Arts Education) and received my counseling license from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.  Outside of school I enjoy reading, piano, cycling and running.  Working with all the great students and staff at Highland Park has been a wonderful experience!
